Goodbye Old Friend…

11.16.09

It’s like a good movie I don’t want to see end. In my case, I’m not worried about the end of the movie…I’m more excited about the sequel. I have finally reached a point in my photographic endeavor and changing not only studio locations but also the name.

I’m saying goodbye to Full Aperture Photography in Stanton but saying hello to Leilani Tucker Photography in Edmore. This will be my last post on this site, so be sure to update any feeds, bookmarks, and anything else I may be forgetting to list. It has been a great whirlwind and thankfully Edmore is more accepting and is such a grateful community. The city has greeted me with arms wide open and I couldn’t be any happier about the move.

So I’m leaving you with the screen shot of the new blog. I love it and I hope to see you over there! Believe me….the grass is definitely greener and the first post is about the Grand Opening.

Thanks,

~Leilani

Grand Opening: You're Invited!!

11.04.09

Grand Opening Invite

Yep…that’s right people. I have officially decided to change my name and move the studio from Stanton up to the beautiful town of Edmore. These are some drastic changes coming, but only good will come of this (at least I hope so). If you are asking yourself why the name change….well here’s your answer: I am just one person who is trying to get out there and do what I love to do while making friends at the same time.

I realize that there are a ton of talented, gifted photographers out there, but what I feel sets me apart from them is my ability to have fun, be a little goofy, and deliver great images at a decent cost. I will miss the name Full Aperture, but really when it comes down to it….who is Full Aperture?? I want to have a personal connection with my clients and I feel having them refer to me as who I am, Leilani Tucker, will give them and me that personal sense.

I know that I have that kind of name that may be a little hard to pronounce or spell, but I promise, I will not judge because I have heard it all before. Believe me….I’m used to it.

So be on the look out during the next couple of weeks. With the new name and studio location, there will also be a new blog and website. Things are still coming together, but when everything changes over….you’ll be the first to know.

By the way….how do you like the new logo?? I absolutely love it…..and I owe it all to my good friend Sharla Fisher of Fisher Photography. She’s not only a phello photographer, but one heck of a graphic designer. Thanks Sharla….I owe you one!

Hope to see some new and familiar faces on Saturday.

The Wood Family

11.03.09

The Wood Family was my official first family session. I was a little nervous considering there were a total of 11 members—well actually 11 ¾ members--Heather is expecting and the entire family is so excited. I was so glad that my first family was so laid back and so much fun to work with.

With the leaves dropping so quickly with all this rain we have been experiencing, I didn’t think the outdoor session would turn out so beautiful. Thank goodness I was wrong—They had a beautiful red barn, cornfield, leaves on the ground, and most of all a trampoline!!

Again, thank you for allowing me to come to your home and making me feel like I was part of the family…even if it was for a couple hours or so.

Here’s your sneak peek…..Enjoy!!

Halloween's YesterYear

11.02.09

To all the Halloween Lover’s out there…..sorry I have disgraced you. Some people love to celebrate birthdays, Christmas, New Years, but my holiday is Halloween. I love to be scared and to scare others but most of all I love to see everyone’s creativity and imagination. Every year Todd and I throw a Halloween Party, but this year we had to break the tradition. It wasn’t something I was proud of, I tried to pull something small together, but doing it small is not my forte.

So in an honor Halloween, here are some highlights of last year’s party. Enjoy!!

Ryan’s Senior Session

10.30.09

Yes, you are right…you have seen his face before. His name is Ryan and he’s a senior at Carson City High. He was also my Junior Representative who was so awesome to work with during the Spring I couldn’t wait to hang out with him again. This time it would be different, this time it would be on his terms.

Ryan is an exceptional young man and I wish I had half of his ambition. He’s the President of NHS and of his class. He’s participated in track and cross country and is planning on attending the Air Force Academy--that is just the tip of the iceberg!

His session was fun and a little out of my element. I love a challenge and when he told me he wanted an action shot of him and his quad—I was thrilled! Ryan, thank for making my job so much fun. Jodi, thanks for choosing me. I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

On a side note, being chosen as a Junior Representative definitely has it perks. You get your picture on a business card and get printed on brochures and other various print media. Plus, and this is the most important part, your session is discounted in a HUGE way. If this sounds like something you are interested in please contact me for further information. Remember, you must be part of the graduating class of 2011. ~Thanks

Winds of Change...

10.26.09

So it was a few weeks ago when Todd took me out to our 2nd favorite Chinese Restaurant. For the last couple of months, I have been tossing around some drastic ideas for the future of my business and quite honestly I was a little scared. We chatted about futures… our future together and the future of where I would like to see the business head. At the end of our dinner, everything seemed hopeful.

There will be some changes coming soon…..very soon… like the next two weeks soon. The only thing I can say is I am very hopeful because I had my trusty fortune cookie tell me so. I’m kind of superstitious like that. So here’s to the winds of change coming this way…I’m so excited!!

Sam's Senior Session

10.19.09

Sam's session is something I have been waiting for. She didn't know it, but I absolutely love country settings and plaid shirts--then to top it off, she even busted out cowboy boots and one killer belt buckle!! :)

Sam is very sweet and innocent and is a member of the golf team. The thing that is so special about her session is that all of her locations are places she always spends time at. That's why I stress choosing your outdoor locations that mean something to you. I can imagine 10 years from now Sam saying, "I remember when I had my senior pictures taken here....oh that Leilani chick was so awesome!" Okay...I might have made that last part up but it's the memories that I'm trying to capture.

Sam, I had such a fantastic time with you and your mom. I loved all the places we visited and you totally rocked the country setting!

Here's your sneak peek....Enjoy!

You wouldn't realize that it was in the low 40's during her session....so I had to get a shot of her cute little gloves keeping her hands warm.
